At the heart of Woburn Safari Park are the twin roles of education and conservation.

A visit to the Park provides primary school children with a wonderful opportunity to see and get close to many endangered species, with over 1,000 wild animals living in wide open parkland reserves.

You have the flexibility to choose your own adventure by selecting the school trip package and cost options that best suit you. All of our educational sessions can be adapted to suit the needs of your students.

One adult free with every 5 children (primary school age)

  • 30 minute teaching session in the indoor classroom on a topic of your choice
  • 30 minute teaching session of African Adventure in our new outdoor classroom, where you can find out all about the herd of Rothschild's giraffe
  • 20 minute enclosure talk at a choice of Desert Springs (meerkats, porcupines and mongoose) or Birds of Prey

SAFARI TOUR GUIDE


Take a safari tour guide on board with you, as you travel through the Road Safari Reserves. Journey alongside rhinos, giraffes, lions, bears, and tigers, and learn about some of the most endangered wildlife on the planet. Your guide will give you some valuable insights into the lives of the magnificent animals living at Woburn Safari Park. Enjoy an interactive commentary with loads of fascinating facts. This option is available with the Enhanced Package only.

AFRICAN ADVENTURE

Join us for an African Adventure in our outdoor classroom, where you can find out more about Rothschild's giraffe and other animals in their savannah habitat. This session is suitable for EYFS-Key Stage 2.

ENCLOSURE TALKS

Opt for a fascinating educational talk for your school group, at a choice of animal enclosures:

  • Spot the mob of meerkats, a prickle of porcupines and a family of yellow mongoose in their walk through enclosure, Desert Springs.
  • Find out about the animals of the outback in Australian Walkabout.
  • Meet the predators of the air, with a bird of prey talk at their aviary.

Please note: There is no direct contact with the animals.

 

FEEDING TIME

When it gets to 'feeding-time' there is a self-service restaurant and plenty of outdoor picnic areas. An indoor picnic area is also available for schools, please reserve spaces when you book. You can also pre-order ice lollies for £1.25 per child from our catering team. Call 01525 290406 to book ice lollies.

SOUVENIRS

Junglies Gift Shop is open for students to buy an animal themed souvenir of their visit and to pick up novelties, sweets, toys and gifts. Numbers are currently limited to 40 people at a time.
