Session Outline

Here you can spot a mob of meerkats, a prickle of porcupines, and a family of yellow mongoose. This outdoor session includes looking at each species and disussing their habitat and adaptations with the use of animal artefacts such as porcupine quills that the children can touch.

  • Understand the basic requirements needed within a habitat to help animals survive

  • Understand how different animals have different adaptations

  • Understand the importance of camouflage
