Higher and Further Education

At the heart of Woburn Safari Park are the twin roles of education and conservation.

A visit to the Park provides further and higher education groups with the chance to get up close to many endangered species that live in the wide-open parkland reserves, and find out more about the science behind the species they see.

Why visit Woburn on an education trip?

  • Safari adventures by coach or bus as you travel through the Road Safari, coming face-to-face with a host of majestic animals

You have the flexibility to choose your own adventure by selecting the school trip package and cost options that best suit you. All of our educational sessions can be adapted to suit the needs of your students.

  • Choose a 30-minute Educational Talk in our indoor classroom
  • Choose a 30-minute Outdoor Learning Session - these are held either in the outdoor classroom or adjacent to one of the animal enclosures in the Foot Safari

These sessions can accommodate 30 students at one time.

Choose TWO of the following:

  • A tour guide for your coach as you travel through the Road Safari
  • Choose a 30 minute Educational Talk in our indoor classroom (max. 30 students per session) 
  • Choose a 30 minute Outdoor Learning Session - these are held either in the Outdoor Classroom or adjacent to one of the animal enclosures in the Foot Safari (max 30 students per session)
  • Viewing of Plastic Oceans conservation mini movie in Sea Lion Cove (30 minute session, capacity limited, subject to availability).


Please note:  If you cancel within 7 days of your trip, you will be charged the full amount. If you cancel within 14 days, you will be charged half the full amount. Any cancellation more than 14 days before you will not be charged.

Indoor Classroom Sessions

You can opt for a 30-minute teaching session in our Visitor Enrichment Centre. These interactive sessions are curriculum-linked, using multimedia and animal artefacts. Choose from one of the following topics:

Take a safari tour guide on board with you, as you travel through the Road Safari Reserves. Journey alongside rhinos, giraffes, lions, bears, and tigers, and learn about some of the most endangered wildlife on the planet. Your guide will give you some valuable insights into the lives of the magnificent animals living at Woburn Safari Park. Enjoy an interactive commentary with loads of fascinating facts. This option is available with the Enhanced Package only.


When it gets to 'feeding-time' there is a self-service restaurant and plenty of outdoor picnic areas. An indoor picnic area is also available for schools, please reserve spaces when you book. You can also pre-order ice lollies for £1.25 per person from our catering team. Call 01525 290406 to book ice lollies.


Junglies Gift Shop is open for students to buy an animal themed book or souvenir of their visit and to pick up sweets and gifts to take home. Numbers are currently limited to 40 people at a time.
