The Mahouts Elephant Foundation is a charity dedicated to rescuing elephants and relocating them to protected forest habitats. Their work also focuses on improving the welfare of Asian elephants in the wild through education, monitoring and community outreach.
Meet the herd on a Mini VIP Experience
As part of this exciting weekend keepers are giving you the chance to meet some of the Asian Elephants on a Charity Elephant Meet & Greet. For JUST £50pp you could meet Chandrika, Damini and youngster Tarli while raising much needed funds.
Please note: The Charity Elephant Meet & Greet is only suitable for guests over 12 years of age. Admission tickets are NOT INCLUDED and MUST be purchased separately to enter the park on the day of your visit.
Your booking is for a 40 minute non-exclusive experience. You can expect to spend around 20 minutes on foot, alongside the elephants grassland paddock with the elephants dedicated keepers, learning about the species, the individuals and their characters. There is no guarantee of how close the elephants will be, as they make their own choices, but you can generally expect to be within 10-20 feet.

Join keepers at the charity stall, located outside the Safari Restaurant (No. 29 on your Foot Safari map), where you can take part in fun games with the chance to win some fantastic prizes! It’s also a great opportunity to meet the amazing team and discover more about the Asian elephant herd at the Park.
Head of Elephants, Tommy, and keeper Jazz are going the extra mile to support the Mahout Elephant Foundation. Jazz will be taking on a thrilling skydive this August, while Tommy smashed a half marathon on the 15th July.
