How the animals kept cool during the UK heatwave

While the UK was blasted with soaring temperatures in early August, the keepers were busy working hard to keep the animals cool.

From specially made ice lollies, to refreshing dips in their pools - here's how the animals stayed cool during the UK heatwave in August...

In the Road Safari the Barbary macaques enjoyed some tasty ice treats that were made for them by their keepers.

While the North American black bears and Asian elephants made the most of the hot weather by taking some refreshing dips in their pools!

And over in the Foot Safari some of your farmyard favourites were also busy enjoying their own tasty ice lollies!
