Meet Kojo and Kahari

Kojo and Kahari are a pair of African lion brothers who were born to mum Zuri in 2019. The pair can often be seen close together in their large enclosure in Kingdom of the Carnivores in the Road Safari.

About Kojo and Kahari

Kojo and Kahari live in a large 32 acre enclosure where she can roam free with 6 other African lions under the supervision of an experienced keepers on patrol. The lions have a house where they spend time overnight, with access to a smaller paddock. This provides 24/7 access outdoors.

The two brothers were born on July 25th 2019 to proud mother Zuri, the two brothers can often be seen sticking close together in their enclosure, enjoying some enrichment keepers have layed out of taking a well deserved nap.

The brothers are described to be a confident and playful pair enjoying their natural enclosure where they can climb trees and run around. From a young age Kahari was described to be the more confident one who would often venture off further from mum while Kojo kept close.

The pair enjoy their enrichment and often get involved quite quickly when keepers put something out for them to enjoy.

Lions are social big cats that live in prides. Woburn's pride of 8 lions live in a 32 acre reserve with the freedom to roam and exercise within a larger space than many zoo environments.
