In collaboration with Go Ape, we unveiled Treetop Safari on April Fool's Day - as a joke...
AIMING HIGH
This immersive experience redefines the meaning of ‘wild adventure’. It offers thrill-seekers a unique blend of treetop challenges as well as getting up close with some of Woburn’s finest.
Forget your average zip line. Treetop Safari will launch visitors into the heart of Woburn’s diverse animal kingdom, with exhilarating challenges including:
Giraffe Grazing: Ascend a custom-built platform to hand-feed Woburn’s resident giraffes. Get up close to these gentle giants and enjoy some quality time amongst their favourite trees.
Lemur Leap: An unmissable opportunity to encounter these incredible climbers in their natural treetop environment. Journey from tree-to-tree on Alpine zips whilst these fun-loving creatures leap through the canopy beside you.
Fiend vs Falcon: Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush as you race a trained lanner falcon on one of our high-speed zip lines. Find out how quick these birds of prey actually are as you race back down to earth.
Crocodile Crossing: Conclude your adventure by soaring over a crocodile-infested lake on a one of our iconic zip lines. It wouldn’t be Go Ape if we didn’t put you out of your comfort zone. A great photo opportunity for you to ‘snap snap’ away.
WILD AND FREE
Go Ape’s Head of Health and Safety, Tim Burr, has been working alongside the team at Woburn, "One of Go Ape's core values is to keep the 'adventure' in adventure. Combining two classic outdoor experiences to create the ultimate adventure just made sense".
A spokesperson from Woburn Safari Park added, "We're constantly looking for innovative ways to engage with our visitors. 'Treetop Safari' allows us to showcase our incredible animals in a whole new light, while also testing the limits of human bravery. And how many people can say they’ve raced a bird of prey?”
Not really... Happy April Fool's Day!
The above story isn't true, but coming this Easter holiday, we have some real exciting new updates!
Kids will be able to take the wheel in zebra or tiger-striped mini Land Rovers at the new Little Ranger Rovers, while visitors enjoy a fresh view of the Rothschild's giraffes at the new Giraffe Meadow. Plus, some exciting TV stars will be stopping by!
