Introducing Bramble Lodge
Exciting news from the keepers – the Hedgehog Ward has a new name! Introducing Bramble Lodge!
Back in July, the Carnivore keepers welcomed 12 adorable hoglets to the ward, thanks to a new partnership with Deanshanger Hedgehog Rescue (DHR), a charity which is provides rehabilitation to hedgehogs who have been found unwell, injured or abandoned. DHR were struggling to house all the hedgehogs they have rescued and a partnership was formed with Woburn Safari Park to help provide the space for these little mammals and contribute to the conversation of the species. The keepers have been working tirelessly to nurse these little ones back to health so they can be released back into the wild.

To celebrate the opening of this newly refurbished residence, the team turned to visitors to come up with the perfect name. After receiving countless creative submissions, it was tough to choose, but in the end, Bramble Lodge was crowned the winner! Bramble Lodge will continue to be a safe haven for hedgehogs, helping them gain weight in a safe and comfortable environment until they’re ready for their return to the wild.
Stay tuned for more updates on Bramble Lodge and the progress of these little hedgehogs!
