Adorable Bear Cubs Have All Received Their Names!

Four unbelievably cute North American Black Bear cubs have been named at Woburn Safari Park, with the help of the public.

Their mother, Phoenix, gave birth to the cubs back in January, who have become firm favorites with visitors and keepers alike. They have been showing more of their individual personalities every day since!

Keeping in line with their North American wild origins, keepers asked the public for two American-themed name suggestions earlier this month in an online competition. We are now pleased to announce that the results are finally in and these cubs have been named...

Colorado and Aspen! Winners Riley and mum Hazel will enjoy a VIP Off-Road Safari Experience – Congratulations!

The other two remaining male and female cubs were named Harvard and Maple by His Grace the Duke of Bedford!

For now, Phoenix and her cubs are living separate from the other bears at the Park, to give the cubs space to independently grow and gain confidence. You can catch a glimpse of adorable and lively bear cubs in the enclosure they share with their mother Phoenix, alongside the main bear section in the Kingdom of the Carnivores in the Road Safari.
