Meet Granville
Granville is one of the male southern white rhinos living at Woburn Safari Park he can be spotted as soon as you enter the gates in to the Road Safari, he lives alongside four other rhinos, male Kei and females Mkuzi, Mirijam and Azeeza.
About Granville
Granville lives in the Savnnah Grasslands enclosure at Woburn Safari Park, he arrived at the Park in August 2024 from West Midlands Safari Park.
Granville was born on September 25th 2018 meaning he is only six years old but he can still be easily spotted due to his larger size, he is a confident rhino who can sometimes be seen running around his enclosure or having some fun with the logs that are out in the section.
Granville is close with his female companions and will stick with them while grazing, he does sometimes venture off on his own to keepers or to have some alone time. Granville is said to have quite a playful personality and will often be seen enjoying himself in wallows, charging at logs or just runnning around his spacious enclosure.
Granville arrived to the Park as part of a breeding programme which brings hope for the Park to be able to welcome some rhino calves in the future.
