What's New for Schools this year?

Woburn Safari Park offers a place for students to learn about and get closer than ever to the animals living at the park. With a dedicated Education Team and strong links to a number of curriculum subjects, your students are sure to have an informative, exciting and memorable day out of the classroom.

There is always something new to discover at Woburn Safari Park!  We can't wait to meet you and your group.

Oryx Running

In the Road Safari, you’ll get up close to a number of endangered and exotic animals and you can get even more out of the experience by taking a safari tour guide on board with you (must be pre-booked). Meanwhile, in the Foot Safari you can plan your day around the many talks and demonstrations that run daily or book a teaching session in our Visitor Enrichment Centre or outdoor classroom adjacent to the Rothschild's Giraffe.

Keep an eye out for this year’s new babies, including lion cubs; baby otters and monkeys; scimitar horned oryx and Ankole calves; penguin chicks and wallaby joeys on your safari adventure.

Child feeding the Alpacas at Alpaca Outpost in the Foot Safari

And don’t forget to explore the two new animal attractions that opened this year. Hop on board the Great Woburn Railway to visit and feed the friendly herd of alpacas, including the four babies born this year, at Alpaca Outpost. Or head into the Foot Safari to the new Land of Lemurs, which will take you and your students right into the home of the four species of lemurs in an immersive walk-through experience.

Child On Bear Chair In Jungle Jamboree

Need time to unwind? Head to Jungle Jamboree which is equipped with an array of obstacles, musical instruments and animal-themed climbing activities including a giant giraffe, a bear chair and much, much more! Or, head inside the Mammoth Play Ark, the huge indoor soft play adventure area that is suitable for children of all ages.

Afterwards, take to the water and enjoy a leisurely paddle across Swan Lake on the new fleet of Dragon and Swan boats!

Then, when it comes to feeding time, head to the self-service restaurant, one of the many outdoor picnic areas, or to the newly refurbished indoor picnic area (booking required).
