Tiger charity weekend a roaring success
On 27th and 28th July, the Carnivores Keepers at the Park held their annual tiger charity event to raise money for WildCats Conservation Alliance.
Visitors enjoyed fantastic mini-VIP experiences throughout the day where they came face to face with the majestic tigers living at the Park - females Minerva, Mishka and Milashki, and male Elton.
Keepers also held a stall in the Leisure Area, raising money through raffles, tombolas and lots of other games.
Altogether, £5,400 was raised and will be sent to WildCats Conservation Alliance who help to protect wild tigers and Amur leopards.
Heather Greenaway, Animal Keeper, said: "The work that the WildCats Conservation Alliance does is so important and all helps to ensure the future of wild tigers and Amur leopards.
It's a charity that the keepers here feel strongly about supporting, so we are very pleased that the visitors helped us raise such a fantastic amount for them during our Tiger Charity Weekend.
We couldn't have done it without the support from the local companies and artists that donated prizes, and the MK Scouts Group who came in to volunteer across the weekend, so a big thank you also goes out to them all."
