Successful Amur Tiger Charity Weekend

Over the weekend of the 28th and 29th July, Woburn Safari Park hosted their charity weekend for The Wildcat Conservation Alliance to help raise funds and awareness for the beautiful Amur tiger species.

The Wildcat Conservation Alliance work to prevent the extinction of the Amur leopard and tiger as numbers are continuously dwindling in the wild. To support the important conservation programmes undertaken by this charity, visitors had the opportunity to take part in a mini VIP trips to head off road with a keepers and see these big cats up close, as well as other exciting tiger-themed activities including a raffle and tombola.

The charity event raised £2,536 and all funds will go to The Wildcat Conservation Alliance. Theses donations will enable the charity to continue working closely with the scientific community, zoos, international conservation organisations and individuals to raise funds and awareness of this majestic big cat species.
