Save The Rhino charity weekend a great success
On Saturday 17th February, Reserves keepers at the Park held their annual rhino charity event to raise money for Save The Rhino.
Visitors enjoyed fantastic mini-VIP experiences throughout the day where they came face to face with the majestic rhino herd living at the Park - females Mtubatuba, Mkuzi and Mirijam, and males Kai and Otto.
There was even the opportunity to go behind the scenes into the rhino house and get a peek into the hard work that goes into looking after and caring for these endangered animals. Keepers also held a stall in the Leisure Area, raising money through raffles, tombolas and lots of other games.
Altogether, over £1,550 was raised and will be sent to Save The Rhino who help to protect all rhino species out in the wild from the very real danger of extinction.
