Raising money for World Parrot Trust

Visitors at Woburn Safari Park have raised a fantastic £1996 for World Parrot Trust, who aim to help parrots survive in the wild and flourish in companion care.

Habitat loss and being sold into the pet trade are the main reasons why the parrot is the most endangered group of bird in the world, with one in three species exposed to extinction.

Keepers have been fundraising throughout the year at the Birds in Action demonstrations and talks that take place daily in the Amphitheatre.

Woburn Safari Park is home to Blue and Gold Macaw, Military Macaw, Greenwinged Macaw, Greater Cockatoo, Lesser Cockatoo and Patagonian Conures (also known as Burrowing Parrots).
