Update on the rhino charity weekend

Raising money to save the rhino...

The annual rhino charity weekend took place over the first May bank holiday, with over £2,300 being raised for 'Save The Rhino International'.

Reserves keepers worked hard over the three days to inform visitors about the perils rhino face out in the wild due to loss of habitat and poaching. The stall featured games, raffles, a cake sale as well as the opportunity for visitors to get even closer to the herd of Southern White Rhino living at Woburn Safari Park through mini-VIP trips.

The keepers would like to thank everyone who came by the stall over the weekend and donated, as well as those who enjoyed a mini-VIP trip.

We also encouraged visitors to post their favourite #RHINOPIC from their recent visits onto our Facebook wall, with the winner being chosen as Natasha Jeffries thanks to her wonderful entry below of the three female rhino at WSP - Mkuzi, Mirijam and Mtubatuba
