Introduction to a Visitor Attraction

This session looks at the history of Woburn Safari Park, product development and who the target markets are and why and PEST factors.

Customer Service

Customer service is one of the most important aspects of Woburn Safari Park and this excellence sets us aside from competitors. This session discusses why it is important, how we do it, internal and external customers, communications, dealing with complaints and evaluating customer service.


How do we get key messages about the Park to our target audience? This session looks at how and why we market the Park, the '4Ps' and market research.

Developing People

Our staff are key to our success. Discover how we recruit, how we train staff, reward and recognition as well as personnel policies and practices.


Woburn Safari Park is a profitable business. This session looks at income generation, what financial factors affect us, how we respond to trading climates, the importance of budgeting and setting targets.

Using ICT

ICT has many uses across the Park. Find out what these are and the impact they have had.

Promotional Campaigns

Look at the range of promotional techniques we use and then discover a recent campaign as a case study.

Health and Safety

Discover how we create a safe environment for our staff and guests.

Guided Coach Tours for Vocational Groups

Book an educator to help you make the most out of your drive around the safari reserves. This tour is designed for GCSE and A level vocational groups. It gives a guide to the day to day operation of the Safari Park, its products and services, health and safety, customer service and marketing and PR. Tours last up to 1 ½ hours. £1 per student (minimum charge £20).

Vocational workshops

Workshops last for 1½ hours and take a more detailed look at the topics being studied with interactive practical activities to reinforce learning. Topics available include customer service, marketing and health and safety. £40 per workshop (maximum 30 students).

Day Programmes

We are also offering a programme of day events including a customer service training course, an industry day and a work related learning day. Please contact us for more information about these events.


Any of our vocational sessions can be brought to your school or college as outreach talks. £100 per session (15% discount if you are making a visit to the Safari Park in the same year).
