What's New at the Park?
This February half term you can meet some of the newest safari stars, visit brand new walkthrough enclosures and get closer than ever to the wonderful wildlife!
Male rhino Otto bounded into the Park late last year and has been making friends with the three female rhinos living out in the African Reserve. But will it be a rhino romance?
Meet the Giraffe Herd!
This year has also seen the completition of the brand new state-of-the-art giraffe house which is home to the 14 Rothschild's giraffe at Woburn. There are limited VIP Upgrade tickets available for February half term (click here to find out more), visitors will be able to head behind the scenes on a special encounter to meet these beautiful, gentle giants face to face.
Welcome to Viv and Vinnie
Animal Encounters have welcomed a new species to the Park with the arrival of a breeding pair of Bush Dogs. Male Vinnie and female Viv can be seen next to the Aldabra tortoise, in their brand new home 'Cachorro Range'. It's hoped that the pair will breed and Woburn Safari Park will welcome litters of pups of this South American canid species.
New faces in the Foot Safari
Head over to the Dissscovery Zone, you'll spot Little Kev the Utila island spiny tailed iguana (pictured below), who is settling in well to his new home.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy special encounters with some of our 'Farmyard Friends' which is a brand new walk-through enclosure opening later this year featuring sheep, goats, ponies, donkeys and pigs.
Later on this year, the Animal Encounters team will be welcoming another two species to the Park - Red Panda and Agouti. Stay tuned for more information on these coming soon.
