The excitement doesn't stop once you leave the Safari Reserves. It continues in our 40 acre leisure area. There’s more animals to see and more adventures to be had. Hold on to your visitor guide and map and you won’t want to miss out on any of our animal demonstrations and keeper talks. Woburn has the fullest programme in the UK! These take place throughout the day - the timetable is given to you on arrival. It’s a great opportunity to meet the animals and talk with the staff that care for them.
These include:
- Elephant Encounter
- Sea Lion displays (indoors) and keeper talks (outdoors)
- Birds of Prey Flying Demonstrations
- Animals and Birds in Action (including free flying parrots)
- Keeper talks at feeding time: Monkey Business, Penguin World and Land of the Lemurs

Always one of the most popular attractions in the Wild World Leisure Area. Here you’ll witness first hand the Sea Lion’s agility through underwater viewing and watch them play on the beach or under their very own waterfall. Designed primarily as a breeding facility, pups have been a feature at Woburn each summer so far since Sea Lion Cove opened . Pups are normally born in late May or early June.
Watch penguins through the underwater viewing as they shoot through the water like torpedoes. There’s more animals too; European Lynx, marmosets, snakes, red river hogs, ponies and donkeys.
The Land of the Lemurs won the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums award for Best New Enclosure in 2004. Here you can wander through the raised walkways and come face to face with these mischievous primates in their home. You can also walk amongst playful squirrel monkeys in Monkey Business.
An indoor aviary filled with noisy and colourful lorikeets which will fly down to your hand to drink from a cup of nectar. Extra charge applies if you wish to feed the birds.
